A step back in time! Located in the Lost River Valley, Bonanza is home to large and small farms, ranches and dairies. An agriculturally based community, the residents are known for their friendly, welcoming atmosphere and are strong supporters of the local school sports teams.
Rumor has it that you can find one of the best Prime Rib dinners at the Longhorn on Friday nights. 12 Ranch Wines also calls Bonanza home. They produce some fine award winning wines.
To the Northeast of Bonanza you will find the small berg of Bly. Home to only about 450 residents, Bly is a quiet town now, with memories of a lumber mill town from the past. Surrounded by wide open spaces, literally where the deer and the antelope play.
For World War II history buffs, a monument stands to the only American casualties on Mainland soil during the war. Bly is located about 50 miles east of Klamath Falls and was also once a mill town and is now an agricultural and recreational community, with hunters and fishermen retreating there.
Just about 12 miles past Bly is Beatty a culturally significant area for the Klamath Tribes. Beatty is surrounded by many fishing and outdoor recreational opportunities.
