- Klamath Basin Potato Festival: Merrill, OR 97633
The Klamath Basin Potato Festival is an annual fall festival that takes place at various venues throughout Merrill. It's scheduled for October 14-16 this year. On Friday, indoor exhibits open to the public at the Merrill Civic Center. On Saturday, there's a parade that goes down Front Street, a free barbecue, and a Potato Festival drawing.

If you're the adventurous type, head over to ROE Outfitters for some fall fun. ROE stands for "Real Oregon Experience." Badger Run Wildlife Rehab is a non-profit organization dedicated to caring for injured and orphaned wild animals. They offer tours by appointment, and fall is the perfect time for a tour, thanks to the cooler weather and beauty of nature.
While at Badger Run Wildlife Rehab, some of the animals you'll see include bald eagles, rock wrens, and red-tailed hawks. The knowledgeable board members and volunteers who run the organization can tell you all about the native wildlife in Klamath Falls, how you can help support that wildlife, and how to be a good steward of nature overall.

Lake of the Woods Resort is a mountain lodge where you can stay in a cabin, hike through the woods, or even just relax on the shores of the lake. The lake is known for being one of the clearest in the area. In the fall, it is surrounded by orange and red trees.
