Small Business Saturday 2022 - Fisher Nicholson Realty

As holiday shopping season officially begins, everyone is rushing to get the best deals for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. But as crowds flock to the big department stores, many people tend to forget Small Business Saturday. The Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend (November 26th) is devoted to seeking out small businesses and independent shops and supporting them rather than giant corporations. As inflation continues to skyrocket and the economy becomes increasingly difficult to navigate, shopping small and local is more important than ever.

But what if you've only just moved to the area? It takes a while to discover the larger businesses in a new neighborhood, much less the small, independent ones. Don't worry. Our real estate agents know Klamath Falls and can help you find what you're looking for. Here are our favorite places to shop small in the area.

  • Keepers Corner LLC - 195 E. Main St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601
If you want to support independent creators, Keepers Corner is a great place to start. It's not just a single shop but a whole mall of small businesses. For over 15 years, this independently owned shopping center has hosted booths for other independent vendors and creators, from antiques to furniture to glassware and metalware, and much more. Whatever you're looking for, there's a small, local vendor who can provide it at Keepers Corner.

  • Poppy On Main - 522 Main St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601
Looking for gifts for family? Poppy on Main has everything you need. They sell everything from home decor to women's fashion to kitchen supplies. You can shop for some of their items online, but most of it is available in their store, open Monday through Saturday.

  • Yesterday's Plaza - 125 N. 9th St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601
For vintage and designer clothes, there's no better place than Yesterday's Plaza. Specializing in classic fashion, they've got elegant gowns and formal wear, as well as more casual, everyday items. Sizes range from 0 to 4X, so there really is something for everyone. They also sell handbags, jewelry, and more—including designer products—at great prices.

  • Rare Bird Consignment Boutique - 811 Main St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601
For good quality on a budget, Rare Bird Consignment Boutique has what you need. Selling gently used women's fashion, as well as furniture, on consignment, they're very particular about the quality of the items they take. There's a wide variety to choose from, all in great condition, at great prices. Or, if you're looking to get rid of some of your used clothing or furniture, they'll help you do it and give you a percentage of the sale.

  • Northwest Makers Market - 129 S. 9th St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601
Another great place to find plenty of great small businesses in one location, Northwest Makers Market hosts a variety of local Klamath Falls vendors selling things they've made themselves. From jewelry to handmade purses and handbags to personalized mugs to paintings and sculptures from great local artists, this is a great place to browse and find gifts for the whole family. If you're a maker or artist, they're always looking to expand and host new local talent!

These are just a few of the small businesses and shops you can find near Klamath Falls homes for sale. If you want to know more about the area or are ready to make Klamath Falls your new home, contact us. We'll help you find the home of your dreams.
