The rugged landscape of Klamath Falls seems like it was created with cyclists in mind. With beautiful fields and forests, challenging mountains, and sweeping scenery in every direction, our corner of Oregon could rightly be called a bicycling paradise.

Whether you're into mountain biking or road biking, you'll find endless places to ride in Klamath Falls. These are some of our real estate agents' favorites.

  • Spence Mountain - 18515 Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway, Klamath Falls, OR 97601
The ever-expanding trail system on Spence Mountain has earned a reputation as one of the premier mountain hiking destinations in the Klamath Falls area. With over 40 miles of trails designed by and for mountain bikers, Spence Mountain offers long climbs, sharp descents, and hair-raising twists and turns that will satisfy any mountain bike enthusiast. The Shoalwater Bay Trailhead on Eagle Ridge Road provides access to the trail system, which sprawls across 7,400 acres and includes some spectacular views of Upper Klamath Lake.

  • OC and E Woods Line State Trail - Klamath Falls, OR 97603
Oregon's longest state park, the OC and E Woods Line State Trail, stretches 100 miles along the bed of the former Oregon, California, and Eastern Railroad. The trail begins in Klamath Falls, and its first 7.6 miles are paved and level, making it a popular spot for jogging, dog walking, and bike riding. As it continues eastward, the OC and E Woods Line State Trail transitions to a gravel surface as the scenery becomes more rural. Several access points make it easy to hop on and off the trail as it traverses woods and farmlands throughout Klamath and Lake counties.

  • Eulalona Trail - 170 Cypress Ave., Klamath Falls, OR 97601
A 0.8-mile stretch of gravel doubletrack, the Eulalona Trail is a beginner-friendly mountain bike trail just a few minutes from Downtown Klamath Falls. This is a trail that gives you great bang for your buck in terms of beautiful scenery without too much thigh-burning effort. The trail starts at the Eulalona South Trailhead on the west side of Klamath Falls, and it connects to an extensive multi-use trail system in Moore Park. The park offers many more miles of trails that are popular among hikers, trail runners, and cyclists alike.

  • High Lakes Trail - Falls Highway, Klamath Falls, OR 97601
Traversing the spectacular landscape of Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, the High Lakes Trail is an excellent option for mountain bikers of all skill levels. Mostly flat in its middle section and more steep and rugged at either end, this 18.2-mile out-and-back runs east to west from Great Meadows to Fish Lake. You'll get a view of 9,495-foot Mt. McLoughlin, along with some beautiful wildflower meadows and lava flows. A section of this trail can also be used to form the 20-mile High Lakes-Brown Mountain Loop.
